- HELP!!!
-
- We are an international company that has developed a networked
- system of Amiga 1200 stations in custom cases with touch screens for
- use as "Slot Machines".
-
- We are currently using a serial based network, but are finding it
- too slow for our newest applications (IE: Live video to the terminals, etc).
-
- The network has a host computer connected to a minimum 50 terminals
- and a maximum of 3000 terminals (All located within one building.)
-
- The current host is Amiga based, but can be Unix (Sun, HP, Motorola, Stratus).
-
- The software requirements are quite straightforward:
- * All communications are initiated by the host.
- * Most messages are broadcast to all terminals.
- * Some messages are addressed to the specific terminals.
- * Terminals only respond to the host.
-
- We would like some suggestions as to what type of cabling, network cards,
- and software would be best suited this application.
-
- Any help would be appreciated. Please e-mail.
